Mr. Nirmal Gharial is a telecommunications expert with over 40 years of experience. Mr. Gharial has a strong technical background in telecommunications with over 16 years of experience at British Telecom as a Technical Officer in the Access Planning Department in Central London, and many years working for major telecommunications companies in the UK and abroad.
Mr. Gharial has also worked for Mercury Communications, doing Customer Planning involving Fiber and point-to-point radio planning. He also worked for Nortel Networks in the UK.
In 1998, Mr. Gharial designed all the fundamental plans for SDH Fiber rings for the whole of the Mpumalanga (formerly Eastern Transvaal) region, for Telkom SA in South Africa. Later, he designed PoP sites for KPN Qwest and Metromedia Fiber Network in the Netherlands, and infrastructure equipment for Global One in Germany.
In 2012, Mr. Gharial successfully designed and completed a FTTH/LTE Pilot Project in Jamnagar Township at the world's largest oil refinery in India for Reliance Infocomm (Reliance Jio).
Mr. Gharial has also worked for Easynet UK (British Sky Broadcasting Group) and Vodafone in the UK.
In 2014/2015, Mr. Gharial Planned and completed roll out of pure fiber infrastructure (FTTP/Future FTTH Provision) in Peterborough City (Cityfibre’s Flagship City) for CityFibre in the UK.
Before Angie, Mr Nirmal Gharial was working for Virgin Media in the UK as a Principal Planning Engineer on a Network Expansion Project, part of a £3 billion investment from parent Company Liberty Global. He was responsible for the whole of West Midlands region in England.
